  25.     SLIP8250.COM does not do Van Jacobson IP header compression. The
  26. switches are explained in the general Packet Driver installation file
  27. and in the build-in "using" blurb of the program.
  28.     It is also possible that you have Kermit stepping on the Packet
  29. Driver by telling Kermit to use COM1 or similar hardware comms port.
  30.     There are other SLIP Packet Drivers around and some do support
  31. VJ compression.
